Dear Students,

I am extremely happy to welcome you to my Bharati Vidyapeeth University. Precisely 39 years ago, at the tender age of 19, I had laid the foundation of the Bharati Vidyapeeth, which is the parent body of this UNIVERSITY, and, withstanding all adversities, working ceaselessly over the years, have completed this great structure. Today, the University is spread over not only Maharashtra State, but also the capital city of the country, New Delhi.

My chief aim in founding this educational establishment was to achieve social transformation by taking state of the art education to the masses and to make them worthy citizens of India. To achieve this aim, I have taken special care to build up strong infrastructure with healthy, conducive-to-study atmosphere, laboratories with modern equipment and libraries with up-to-date literature. My university conducts graduation and post graduation courses of contemporary education in various disciplines, from the conventional subjects of Arts, Science and Commerce to the more professional ones like Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Law, Management Studies and Information Technology. My carefully selected, dedicated teaching staff, without whose help I would not have been able to expand the university takes care of the all-round development of the students. Our earnest efforts to achieve academic excellence have been rewarded by the Govt. of India and the University Grants Commission by conferring the Deemed-to-be-University status to the 17 of my institutions.

Today, with a deep sense of satisfaction I find the fulfilment of my dream when I see the alumni of my university occupying high ranking positions in different fields. This university is my family and you, dear students are its members. Let us resolve to make it one of the leading universities of the country.
