Bharati Vidyapeeth University started functioning in April, 1996 after receiving communication from the Government of India granting of status of ‘University’ under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 to a cluster of institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth, which is a parent organization of this University. The recognition as ‘University’ was given to these institutions in appreciation of their high academic excellence, rich infrastructural facilities and the potential for further growth. |
The University has its campuses in India and Abroad. In India its campuses in Pune, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Karad and Sangli. In Abroad its campuses in Dubai. |
Within a short span of 11 years or so this University has established its reputation for academic excellence, nationally and internationally. It has enrolled students from all the parts of India, as well as, from 30 different countries. The University is member of Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. |
It is really creditable for this nascent University to have received ‘A’ Grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council for itself and for all its constituent units. Some of the constituent units of the University also have been accredited with‘A’ Grade by the National Board of Accreditation. |
